Michael Piccione is currently Senior Vice President in the Commercial Public D&O Division at Allied World Assurance Company, based in New York, NY. He is responsible for the overall management of teams of underwriters who offer Directors' & Officers' ("D&O"), financial lines of business for all non-financial institution, public companies in the United States & Canada produced out of Allied World’s branch offices in New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto. Michael was part of a core group that established the management liability practice for Allied World in the U.S. back in 2004 and helped to grow it to over $400m. While at Allied World he was instrumental in the development and growth of Side A Lead DIC product, the Executive ForceField which has produced over $275m.Prior to joining Allied World in 2004, Michael had regional management responsibility for Gulf Insurance Company’s Management Liability Practice, subsidiary at the time of Citigroup. Michael has over 25+ years of professional lines insurance experience and started his career in Public D&O after graduating from Boston College.
