My passions are essential to a just society: safeguarding civil rights for all, access to healthcare and education, and an unpolluted environment.After a successful business career that included management, sales positions at IBM, E*TRADE, and Silicon Valley start-ups, I have followed my passion at the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Environmental Defense Fund, NYU Langone Health, and Hospital for Special Surgery. My business and nonprofit experience have allowed me to significantly contribute to the fundraising results at these premier institutions in New York City.By helping philanthropists connect with opportunities that maximize the impact on the institutions and causes we both care about, I've helped raise over $275 million in current and planned gifts.I am creative and innovative in my approach to planned giving, welcoming new ideas and strategies like bequest challenge campaigns, and targeted legacy surveys. And because we are all learning from each other, I support and collaborate with principal and major gift officers to find donor-centric opportunities for current and planned gifts. This is especially valuable in planned gifts, where supporters are often making the largest and final gift of their lives.During my career, I have planned, written, and implemented comprehensive planned gift marketing campaigns, managed legacy giving societies, and overseen professional planned giving advisory groups. I have expert experience managing a planned giving department's day-to-day administration, including both estate and life-income gift programs.Whether it is helping those with no voice secure their civil rights, leveraging science and economics to reduce methane in our environment, ensuring a woman's access to healthcare, or accelerating regenerative medicine research, I know at the end of every day that my efforts helped many people lead better lives.Building on a 15-year tenure in fundraising, I've transitioned into a role where I offer my expertise to nonprofits as a philanthropic advisor and consultant. I assist donors and their advisors in making informed, impactful choices that align with their financial plan, family legacy, and the causes they are passionate about.
