Principal of the only industry-led 16-19 Stage and Screen Production Academy in the UK, I am an educationalist and a school leader who also speaks the language of a production professional. I have a passion for teaching, learning and developing our world through education, technology and the creative, digital and performing arts. I am very lucky to have worked at BOA Group, the leading specialist creative academy trust for a number of years now, surround by outstanding educationalists and incredible creative talent.In 2022, I was given the immense privilege to become Principal of BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy, a passion-project that I had been working on for some time, and which I know will be transformational for both the young people of the region and our beloved industries.BOA Stage & Screen Production Academy provides an industry-led approach to developing the skills and experience of young people aged 16-19 who are passionate about working behind the scenes in film, TV, online, events, and theatre production. We offer a free, full-time education which leads directly to freelancing, employment contracts, apprenticeships and/or university.We strive to: provide all students, regardless of their starting points or backgrounds, with the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications to access the best opportunities that the stage and screen industries, higher education institutions and apprenticeship providers have to offer. deliver to the needs of the stage and screen industry, bridging the gap between the world of academia and the world of work, placing the academy and our students at the centre of the talent pipeline in the west midlands.  contribute to the levelling up and reform of the stage and screen industry, championing the cause for equality, diversity, and inclusivity. Throughout my career, my goal has been to create, provide and protect outstanding learning opportunities for young people across the UK who aspire to work in the creative industries. I believe that we should invest in the production, performance, arts and culture sectors to safeguard our economic viability, our cultural development, and our liberty and freedoms for future generations.I also have a personal interest in and passion for the arts.
