The Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) regulates and governs the practice of professional engineering in Ontario to serve and protect the public interest with more than 100 employees, a $25 million annually operating budget and 100,000 licensed individual and corporate professional members and interns. Responsible for the Licensing and Registration of individual Professional Engineers, Limited Licence Holders, Inter-Provincial Transfers, Reinstatements and corporate Certificates of Authorization and record management. Developed strategic initiatives that improved the efficiency and effectiveness of processes which led to a 40 per cent increase in new members in the last two yearsCollaborated with volunteers to improve processes and enhance member engagement.

Performed role concurrently with role of Deputy Registrar, Licensing and Director of Finance. Reporting directly to the Board, responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the entire organization. Oversaw and directed 100 staff responsible for IT, Communications, Human Resources, Regulatory Compliance, Professional Practice, Secretariat, Building Operations and Outreach Programs in addition to Licensing and Finance responsibilities.Secured and implemented provincial legislative changes to enhance access to professional engineering and organizational sustainability.Implemented new information technology and financial systems to enhance customer service and successfully operate in professional regulation. Refocused organization positioning for favourable public relations with governments, media, customers and the public .
