Founded and led Void Gallery, a Saskatoon-based artist-run centre with a focus on supporting emerging artists. I taught an annual half-day course that served as an introduction to the various types of galleries, their separate roles in the arts community, and how students should approach and prepare submissions for them. As well, the course taught basic professional practices, such as how to prepare a CV and how to promote exhibitions through press releases. It also reviewed installation for framed and unframed two-dimensional work as well as sculpture.

I taught Art 113 Printmaking I Foundation, a 6 credit unit T1T2 class at an off-campus site in Melfort, SK. This was the first time a printmaking class was offered in Melfort. I was responsible for all aspects of the class, including:• setting-up a printmaking area• preparing a curriculum• teaching printmaking methods• helping students with technical issues while printing• grading assignments• putting together Powerpoint presentations to give both historical and contemporary contexts to printmaking

I assisted the Gallery Director with the day to day operations of Gordon Snelgrove Gallery. This included:• teaching students how to hang and light a show• providing installation and takedown assistance for BFA, MFA, and group shows• programming a complete CSS and JavaScript (jQuery)-driven redesign of the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery website (www.usask.ca/snelgrove)• editing and uploading images of past BFA and MFA shows into the online archive• using Social Media to increase traffic to the gallery site• collection management, which included installing work from the collection in buildings and classrooms on campus as well as increasing the number of works being displayed by creating a photo-database of collection work to make the process for requesting installations simpler• promoting gallery shows to local media through press releases

I worked with the College of Arts and Science Webmaster to redesign the Department of Art and Art History Website (artsandscience.usask.ca/art), deciding upon site layout and features. I managed the content for the new site, including faculty and staff profiles and department news and events, as well as took photos of the department’s studio areas and staff.
