I am an experienced Mainframe, Server and Storage Support Engineer with 30+ years in the industry. Over my career, I have had the privilege to work with some of the most cutting-edge technologies that were available at the time. This included hardware and software from many different manufacturers. This framework helped me develop my skillset and competency to be successful in the different roles that I worked in.During my 12 years with IBM, I was fortunate to have been product trained on many different IBM systems and Storage. This includes CMOS and z/Series Mainframes, Storage and Tape Libraries, p/Series systems along with many other smaller systems. As I transitioned to Acxiom LLC, I supported the IBM systems mentioned previously, along with other systems and and servers including Dell, STK, DEC, HP and Sun.As project manager, I played a key leadership role in many high-visibility projects including Mainframe installations, 100+ server installations, Network Vlan consolidation projects and many others. Several of these projects involved coordination of external vendors along with our internal teams.Most recently, my team managed the San environment consisting primarily of IBM Storwize and IBM/Brocade San Switches. This primarily included updating firmware and managing any issues that required our support.We also used Dell OME to manage firmware on approximately 1400+ Dell PowerEdge 720, 730, and 750 servers. In this role, I provided level 2 Hardware Support for many of the systems listed above when issues needed to be escalated. Vendors would be contacted for support only when necessary to assist in problem resolution.I have always loved technology and was lucky enough to begin my career early in life and have no plans to leave any time soon!
