Commander of the 228th Combat Support Hospital, a 248 bed military hospital with over 750 Soldiers and Civilians assigned located in San Antonio, TX and Tulsa, OK. The Combat Support Hospital organizations include a Hospital Headquarters, a 164 bed Hospital Company, an 84 bed Hospital Company and provide: triage/emergency care, a full range of outpatient services, inpatient care, pharmacy, clinical laboratory, blood banking, radiology, physical therapy, medical logistics, operational dental care (emergency and essential dental care), oral and maxillofacial surgery, nutrition care, and patient administration services. The hospital also provides command over three additional subordinate medical units: a Medical team (renal hemodialysis) that provides renal hemodialysis care for patients with acute renal failure and consultative services on an area basis, a Forward surgical team to augment the surgical services of the hospital with general surgery and orthopedic surgery capabilities. The organization can also provide forward resuscitative surgical care and damage control surgery in a combat environment, and a Combat and Operational Stress Control (COSC) Detachment to provide Combat and Operational Stress Control prevention and behavioral health treatment services.

Environmental Science and Engineering Officer are a Preventive Medicine leaders who provide technical assistance to protect the health and readiness of military personnel, their families, DOD employees, and the surrounding community. Serves as the Chief, Operations for the Western Regional Medical Command's (WRMC) Warrior Transition Office (WTO) which provides policy compliance and operational guidance support related to the US Army's Warrior Care and Transition Program (WCTP) to nine major Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs), eleven Warrior Transition Units (WTUs), two Community Based WTU’s (CBTWUs), four Community Care Units (CCU), and two VA Polytrauma centers in a 20 state area. Directs a staff of military/civilian operations specialists and human resources personnel tasked with the execution of the WCTP. Responsible for the management of the WRMC inspection program, Career and Education Readiness (CER), Army Wounded Warrior (AW2) program, Facilities, Transportation, Adaptive Reconditioning and Warrior Games programs related to the WTU’s. Acts as the operational liaison between WRMC WTUs, Veterans Affairs, and MEDCOM/WTC. Overall responsible for all operational aspects directed by Warrior Transition Command/WRMC for the WTU/CCUs support of transitioning military members and spouses.The WCTP serves an essential role, not only in the recovery of Soldiers and those who have returned from combat that require complex care management to cope with the effects of war and multiple deployments. It supports these Soldiers and their Families throughout their recovery and transition, even into Veteran status. It is also focused on identifying, developing, sustaining, and deepening relationships with key DoD and Department of Veterans Affairs senior leaders, members, prospects, and influencers within the military community, including currently serving (active duty), National Guard and Reserve forces. WTC works to ensure everything possible is done to enable Soldiers to return to duty or Veteran status. WTO also plays an important role in ensuring Reserve Component Soldiers receive the care they require prior to and after deployment to remain mission ready.

Responsible for managing, directing and supervising a staff of senior officers and enlisted technical specialists and subject matter experts, who function as training management consultants for units assigned to a Multifunctional Medical Battalion. Coaches, mentors and trains supported unit commanders and their staffs on issues unique to the command and control process, specialized missions, and integration into the warfighting functions. Enables supported units to develop realistic training objectives and executable training plans that will position them for success in worldwide contingency operations.

Managed the Health Services Plans, Operations, Intelligence, Security, and Training programs for an Area Support Group with subordinate units across a four state area.
