As the Tech Lead of the Engineering Enablement team, the responsibilities are very diverse. I work on everything needed to set the team up for success, including people, team-building and technical topics. Engineering Enablement owns products that tackle cross-cutting concerns like auth and webhook delivery, every engineer at Upvest is our customer.

At FATMAP, we want to become the category winner for the outdoors. My responsibilities on this mission include• Leading engineers through the full lifecycle of a feature/project. Starting with creating architectural design documents, prototyping, slicing the work that needs to be done, implementing, mentoring fellow engineers, rollout and maintenance. Examples for such projects are switching to managed auth or introducing push notifications to the product. • Implementing features in a micro-service environment, a mix of GraphQL and RESTful services• Deploying with kubernetes and Google Cloud Functions• Utilizing various services on AWS and GCP• Working on the CI/CD pipeline• Job interviewsMy work is mostly backend focused, but as flexibility is key in a startup, I'm also contributing to• Infrastructure, e.g. tasks like debugging load balancing in the cluster• Frontend, working on a mobile and web apps
