If you had told me 25 years ago that I’d be leading a corporate wellness company, I’d probably have laughed—right before putting on my safety gear and heading back into a high-risk environment. But life has a way of shaping us through the unexpected, and here I am, the founder of Wellwork Solutions Inc., blending experiential learning, engagement, and hard-earned wisdom to help organizations thrive.I’m a proud father to two daughters, 18 and 16, who’ve taught me more about patience, mentoring, and standing up for oneself than any boardroom ever could. My journey has taken me from the towering heights of industrial equipment, where a misstep could mean a two-minute countdown to irreversible damage, to the deep boreal forests of Canada, where I was handed a shotgun by a helicopter pilot and wished good luck against the grizzlies. And yes, that really happened.Fast forward to a life-changing move to Doha, Qatar, where I spent six years as a facilitator at the University of Doha of Science & Technology. This was more than just a career shift; it was an opportunity to learn new skills and broaden my daughters’ and my horizons, turning the world into our classroom. These experiences, from navigating the Middle East to teaching people from around the world, have shaped the leader and mentor I am today.Before founding Wellwork, I co-owned a midsized company in the oil and gas industry. There, I managed workflow, productivity, and the safety of individuals, teams, and the entire organization. This role demanded resilience, strategic thinking, and a commitment to well-being. It also revealed gaps where organizations struggle to balance productivity with people’s well-being.
