Summer 2016, HCST Exoplanet Spectroscopy Testbed• Integrated, and aligned optical/mechanical hardware for a high contrast exoplanet spectroscopy instrument• Researched, worked with vendors, and procured optical and mechanical hardware• Collaborated with a team to develop MATLAB code to develop, operate, test and troubleshoot deformable mirror, Shack-Hartmann wave-front sensor, camera, and other optical hardware according to system requirements,• Compared data to simulations written in PythonJune 2015- March 2016, VERVE Exoplanet Detection Instrument, • Integrated optical hardware of the radial velocity instrument, and mechanically integrated isolation chamber and table• Discovered and corrected mistakes by vendors by communicating with vendors and onsite machinists, saving time• Wrote image acquisition and processing; images obtained from the instrument camera (Python)• Wrote wavelength calibration and sinusoid fit for spectral channels of the instrument (Python)
