My background is fairly diverse, as I have held roles in research & development, product development, and operations for several high technology companies. I have been a part of four start up companies in all cases joining teams that were under 30 people. One of the companies went public and two were acquired by successful parents.I am currently working in the Biotech industry, specifically in the Life Sciences segment; but also have experience in telecommunications and industrial sensing. I have been fortunate to have several great mentors and role models during my career, have built some incredibly performing teams, and enjoy hands-on problem solving.I have direct experience in team building, process development, automating information systems, mergers & acquisitions, and business development. Internationally I have had assignments in Europe, China, Korea, and Japan at various times in my career. I also represented the US as a Technical Expert to the International Electrotechnical Commission in the areas of Fiber Optic Measurements and Passive Fiber Optic Components from 1998 to 2002.
