Chief Information Officer
Current• Planning, directing and controlling the Information Technology (IT) activities of the organization and coordinating the effective design, implementation and operation of IT systems and applications;• Planning and formulating the IT strategy and policy to meet the current and future needs of the business;• Coordinating and/or acting as a liaison between business units and other departments, organizations, suppliers, etc. to meet business objectives;• Directing the IT operations and setting priorities between development, maintenance and operating;• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of new equipment, systems and programming techniques appropriate to the organization;• Establish and ownership of operations and expense budgets (preparing budgets and other management plans)• Security of information systems;• Monitor the IT operations and recommend improvements;• Create policy decisions and accept responsibility for (A) operations, (B) performance of staff, (C) achievement of objectives and (D) adherence to budgets;• Selection and training of IT professionals and other staff and monitoring their performance; including the hiring, building, training and developing Information Technology team.
