Adults and children with disabilities and their families find community, growth, confidence, and joy at Camp Allen. As a disability advocate and the Executive Director for this nonprofit, my goals are to:>> Support children and adults with developmental and physical challenges>> Raise the funds that allow Camp Allen to improve its offerings and environment year after year>> Create a welcoming and collaborative culture in which campers, their families, and the Camp Allen staff can thrive and grow together>> Build positive relationships with the community, donors, and the Board, and strengthen the camp’s brandIn meeting these goals, I manage Camp Allen’s finances and budget; recruit, coordinate, and train staff; manage the property, including new additions; and work closely with the Board of Directors. Under my leadership for the past 6 years, we have more than doubled assets (from $1.4 million to $3.3 million), maintained revenue despite the pandemic, eliminated debt, and increased the return rate of campers to 90 percent.As the recipient of the NH Governor’s Accessibility Award from the NH Governor’s Council on Disability, I am especially proud of my contributions to employment for people with disabilities. I was a UNH Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Fellow in 2016/17 and am currently Vice President and Board Member of NHABLE, an organization that focuses on equity and social justice impacting people with disabilities.I am interested in making connections on LinkedIn and hearing your story.
