Progressing to Executive Director of Camp Allen, I am now responsible for the overall health of this nonprofit, which consists of an outdoor residential, day, and life camp for children and adults with special needs. I develop and manage the organizational budget, plan and coordinate staff training, and participate in all Board Committees and Board Meetings. But above all, I help promote the independence and inclusion of those with special needs, erecting a bridge to employment and fulfillment of life goals.My accomplishments in this role include:>> Increasing total assets from $1.4 million to $3.3 million now.>> Increasing the rate of return of campers to over 90%>> Eliminating debt while adding a new cabin to the facilities>> Heading fund raising, including grant applications>> Building strong relationships with families and caregivers, the surrounding communities, and the campers themselves>> Recruiting and communicating with volunteers, donors, and policy makers to support the Camp and its goals
