The company was established as a “Cost Association” 31 January 2014. The reason was that ECA (electrochemically activated) generator manufacturers had to fulfill the BPR no later than1 September 2015.We started our company because we saw a gap in the ECA market. Having evaluated the costs of buying a Letter of Access (LoA) from an already listed company, we found it to be disproportionately high.Instead, we decided to prepare an application for our own dossier, which we submitted to ECHA on 23 June 2015.On 1 December 2015 we received approval for product classes PT 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Since then, 14 companies decided to join the cooperation.In 2016 we decided to change the company structure from a cost association to a limited company.Today we have 12 shareholders in the company and have sold a number of LoAs to interested companies who need to be Article 95 compliant.

A standard product with global potential. After intensive testing and product development, the system was launched for market in the end of 2014. At the same time the organization had implemented a full ISO 13485 system for development and manufacturing of medical devices. Already in 2015, the BacTerminator Dental was lunched in Germany by Henry Schein, the largest worldwide distributor of medical equipment for the Dental sector, followed by distributors in several European countries.In 2017 our first OEM contract came into effect, with a the leading global manufacturer of dental units and more is expected in 2018.Relating to the experience from our electrolysis systems and microbiological experience, a Legionella control system for hot water installation was developed – The BacTerminator Safe. The system was market in Q3 2017 in Denmark, and sold exclusively by Krüger in Denmark (a part of Veolia Water), with huge success. The system will be launched outside Denmark in 2018. Of course, the system is listed according to the European Biocide Product Regulation.In the years since 2012 several new patents have been filed, securing the future for Adept Water Technologies – and new products in the healthcare sector will be introduced the coming years.
