Leads research & technical assistance on topics related to energy justice, community benefit plans, building efficiency, and grid planning. Supports DOE offices with strategic planning to incorporate energy equity principles into program planning and research.

Fellow within the Building Technologies Office (BTO), focused on opportunities to advance decarbonization, energy savings, and resilience through building energy codes. In addition to supporting day-to-day operations, conducted strategic analysis on topics such as building performance standards, resilience of building energy systems, and energy justice.

Fellow within the Weatherization & Intergovernmental Programs (WIP) Office. Provided technical assistance and analysis or the federal Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and State Energy Program (SEP).

•Led the due diligence and preliminary research phase of a multi-year landscape analysis of the energy challenges of low- to moderate-income households in Texas•Piloted a stakeholder analysis through interviews with over 20 different energy assistance organizations and utilities •Used available census data to conduct a quantitative analysis of energy burden indicators and compiled results into a data-driven tool for identifying vulnerable households

•Facilitated 11 biodigester capacitation workshops and installations in communities throughout Paraguay, including two in my site through a grant awarded by Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas•Taught weekly classes in English and environmental sciences while also training local teachers at community high school 
•Planted 4,5000 yerba mate tree donated by local NGO, A Todo Pulmón, and established three local tree nurses with community agricultural group to promote sustainable farm management, crop diversification, and soil recuperation practices

•Executed energy and climate modeling tools to inform and quantify building water and energy performance technologies•Prepared clean technology portfolios to present sustainable strategies for urban building design competitions in collaboration with architectural firms•Assisted the development and coding of a web-based parametric decision-modeling tool based on building use and ASHRAE standards for building owners
