Created the policies and procedures to move a project from the different phases in a sprint and the forms required for the appropriate signoffs. Migrated source control from Microsoft Source Safe to Team Foundation Server to handle the versioning, source control, and the Scrum process using the Scrum Template 1.0. Implemented Team Build to automatically build a project for the different DEV, QA, and Production environments based on the App.config or Web.Config file settings and build type. Technology Used: Scrum, SDLC, Source Safe, Visual Studio 2010, C#, Team Foundation Server 2010, Scrum Template 1.0, Team BuildHigh Availability/Scalability – Managed a High Availability project which transitioned two SQL Server 2008 R2 servers in a virtual environment to a two node Active/Passive cluster with automatic failover. I created a weekly full, daily incremental and 30 minute transactional backup of the databases as well as a daily restore process to a second SQL Server instance to be used for ad hoc and automated reports. This tremendously increased the reliability and availability of the data. Technology Used: SQL Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2Data Extraction – Coded the classes and the bit arithmetic to transform a mixture of encoded and un-encoded fields from binary files so that the data could be imported into a SQL Server database. Team consisted of 4 programmers and 1 DBA. Assigned resources to projects and managed to project deliverables. Worked with business leaders to exceed desired results. Involved in the hiring and interview process by reviewing resumes and selecting candidates based on their qualifications. Responsible for the full software lifecycle process, from project planning, requirements gathering, architecture planning, application development, deployment, and maintenance. Data Migration – Managed a two year migration project with over 700,000 accounts from our Regional East/Southeast offices, beating project timelines and deliverables. The data consisted of over 26 clients with over $3 billion in receivables and over $350 million in payments, costs, and fees. Contributed to the creation of data transfer formats, client and data research, creation of the SQL queries responsible for extracting the required data from the legacy system, and reporting success back to the business. Managed 3 programmers and 1 DBA in developing the framework and web interface used to migrate the accounts on a client specific basis. Technologies Used: Java, Struts, Hibernate, Spring, XML, Tomcat, MySQLProcess Optimization – Created a web page which allows the attorneys to view their scheduled court dates online and export the results to excel. Search criteria for state, attorney, and jurisdictions allow users to customize their results for their specific office and attorneys, saving up to 6 hours of daily manual effort. Vice President – Application DevelopmentMb Solutions Nov 2006 - Dec 2007Arbitration – Streamlined and expanded the Arbitration process by increasing outbound capacity by 500% and FedEx service tracking capability by 800%, through automation and improved application process flow. Expanded service internationally to Puerto Rico. Cost reconciliation leading to the recovery of hundreds of thousands of dollars. It also provided detailed historical information on the code, and it allowed for recovery from any deletions or allowed for roll backs in case any serious errors were made during a change.
