This includes workforce development programs, like the NYS Manufacturers Alliance Intermediary Apprenticeship Program, Partners for Education and Business, Inc. (PEB), and Real Life Rosies™ - New York’s first direct entry pre-apprenticeship program in advanced manufacturing. The EVP also provides oversight to MACNY’s corporate and member services, including energy, grant writing, training and development, and the Career & Talent Platform. Leading the development of strategic partnerships and initiatives, the EVP engages in regional, statewide, and national collaborations in alignment with MACNY’s organizational strengths and competencies.

Represents the federal research and legislative priorities of the Florida State University before the federal government, including federal agencies and Congress, as well as to the university community. Serves as the FSU representative to the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities' Council on Governmental Affairs. Develops university positions on all relevant legislation for presentation and discussion with the Florida delegation. Interacts with federal research and development agencies to determine funding opportunities, collaborates with faculty and researchers to develop federal support for such initiatives, and maintains relationships with those agencies and officials.

Represents the interests of the University System and its 64 SUNY campuses before Congress and the federal government, and coordinating SUNY's response to federal legislation, fiscal matters, and policies of interest to SUNY. Responsibilities include:•Overseeing the strategic planning for SUNY Office of Federal Relations and its DC operations;•Representing the SUNY system and its campuses on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies;•Consulting, informing, and guiding university administrators, faculty, and students in responding to government programs, policies, and political activities;•Establishing and maintaining ongoing relations with legislative offices and university administrators; and•Working with national higher education organizations and other university representatives to advance collective goals and priorities.

Serves as the main point of contact between Binghamton University and Congress and federal agencies in carrying out the federal initiatives of the University. Represents the University’s interests to the federal government and seeks to influence its actions when the University's interests may be affected. Works with higher education associations to respond to legislative, regulatory and budget actions affecting higher education. Serves as a resource for faculty, staff and administrators by providing assistance and information on governmental information, contacts and resources.

•Serve as the Division of Research senior staff member responsible for securing funding Division of Research funding priorities, reporting to the Interim Vice President of Research•Responsible for working within the comprehensive major gifts program for the Division of Research as a liaison to the Division of External Affairs•Primary focus is to raise funds for the Division of Research priorities, including the Center of Excellence in Small Scale Systems Integration and Packaging Center (S3IP).•In coordination with the Division of External Affairs, develop a portfolio of prospects that have close affiliations with the Division of Research and affiliated Organized Research Centers and Institutes of Advanced Studies.•In coordination with the Senior Director of Major Gifts and the Major Gifts Team, design strategies for the qualification, cultivation and solicitation of major gift prospects. Ensure follow-up activities and stewardship. Engage in travel and other relationship-building including personal contact.•Collaborate with colleagues in the Division of External Affairs, and engage key campaign volunteers and University leaders across campus, as appropriate.•Prepare regular projections and fund updates for the Interim Vice President for Research, Vice President for External Affairs/Executive Director of the BU Foundation, Senior Staff, and President.•Foster and maintain productive relationships with other institutional advancement programs and professionals (Alumni Association, the Watson School, Senior Director of Principal Gifts and other affiliates).
