Responsibilities included development and deployment of Singularity Container Services (SCS) to provide services around the open-source Singularity command line application. SCS includes a container library, a PGP key service, as well as a container build service. These services were deployed to AWS and to customer environments using Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Docker registries. The services source code was written in Go, using GitHub for source code management and CircleCI for continuous integration and deployment. Other responsibilities including customer engagement with US DoE National Labs on customizing and enabling deployment to HPC and air-gap networks. Additional tasks included improving technical hiring process by creating a homework-based coding challenge and setting up and using Hashicorp’s Packer tool to build Vagrant machines with Singularity pre-installed to make it easier for people to try Singularity.

Early member (#8) of startup software company working on a new approach to data storage, synchronization, and collaboration. I helped with the open-source release of Noms - a versioned, fork-able, sync-able database. I was primarily focused on writing Go code, but also spent time coding JavaScript, setting up and maintaining iOS and Android projects, building prototypes with Objective-C and Swift, leveraging React Native for cross-platform mobile UI, integrating with APIs from Facebook, Google, Dropbox, and Yahoo, working with AWS to help with various tasks related to application load balancing, deployment, and monitoring, as well as any other general engineering tasks needing to be done.

LARC is an incubator for the research and development of new technologies related material science, software and hardware futures, security and privacy, exploration tools, and many other fun projects.

LARC Networks was a project initially incubated in LARC and was successfully funded via angel investment in late 2014. LARC Networks developed new technology related to communications, security and privacy. The technology included software and hardware to enable both consumers and businesses to communicate while steadfastly ensuring both privacy and security. Used Extreme Programming model, along with .NET/C# to deliver this software as a successful web application for the entire OSU Medical Center. Refactored and continued development of a grid computing framework to enable scientific applications to run in a distributed environment on heterogeneous machines. Grid computing applications implemented included multi-sequence alignment, oil discovery, and CT-scan data rendering in near real-time.
