Responsible for the maintenance of the Microsoft Systems Management Server Infrastructure for the Intensive Segment. Implemented and migrated over 2000 customer devices onto Windows System Update Server (WSUS 2.0). Developed a suite of self-service reports and complete documentation for the system runbook. More recently, upgraded to WSUS 3.0 and leveraged System Center Update Packager (SCUP) to develop custom patch for deployment via WSUS. Developed a Rackspace specific software inventory audit tool written in VB.Net. Leveraged SCUP to deploy the package and wrote a suite of reports in SQL Server Reporting Services.

Partnered with a dedicated Account Manager to implement and maintain a customer base of 55 enterprise-class customers responsible for $55,000 a month in reoccurring revenue. Often consulted with customers to address performance issues, design of scalable systems, and served as a subject matter expert in the customer's configuration. Was frequently in the top 10% of ticket resolution for the Intensive Segment. Also served in the hiring team, responsible for interviewing and hiring over 100 candidates. Later served as a trainer for many of these candidates and helped develop and document standard operating procedures.

Hired into a newly formed segment that focused on enterprise-class customers. Worked on a team of five employees responsible for maintaining and growing this new segment. Helped establish new procedures and standard operating procedures, interviewing candidates, and providing on the job-training.

A systems support position including both the development and management of a Windows 2000 Active Directory enterprise system and internet access for a student loan servicing institution. Managed computer system transitions through a twenty-five percent increase in loan acquisition from 150 to 200 million dollars. State and Federal banking security requirements necessitated highest quality of redundancy, archiving and near-site data access while servicing banks and government institutions responsible for the student loan system. Managed compliance and planning of Y2K requirements including contingency planning, archiving and reporting to Board of Directors. Implemented a Microsoft Exchange 2000 system to provide the staff with greater flexibility in message management. Implemented a Citrix MetaFrame XP application server farm to allow for better central management of applications, patches, and upgrades. This implementation has lead to workstation hardware cost savings that exceed $20,000 annually. Also extended the usability of the application server by implementing a Citrix Secure Gateway web interface. This interface provides remote users with all the application, data, and printer resources available to them as if they were in the office. Also implemented a Symantec Mail Security Gateway to limit virus, dangerous attachment files, and inappropriate content.Also implemented a Cisco 1721 modular router as a gateway, two Cisco Catalyst 2900 switches, as well as a Cisco PIX 515N firewall with four separate DMZs.

Promotion with added responsibility of managing data related projects to the data entry staff. Work closely with the end users to determine needs, define deliverables, set milestones, and document policies and procedures. Continued analysis of 130,000 record Alumni Development Information System by identifying giving trends as well as numerous long term statistical data. Identified weak areas in data and developed a long term road map for improving data quality. Negotiated multiple contracts with third party vendors to provide data scrubbing services. These services reduced the number of lost alumni by 77% and decreased the return rate on mail resulting in a return rate of 3%.Continued deployment of division Windows 2000 enterprise system by implementing and maintaining a division wide tape backup system, anti-virus system, disk maintenance schedule, and automated patch management system. Also implemented and assured both hardware and software auditing compliance per the University policies and procedures. Provided consultation for end users to identify future technical skills training.

Promotion with added responsibility for deployment of division to Windows 2000 enterprise system while continuing to develop reporting of 120,000 constituent database.

Responsible for the procurement and management of a fifty-client Windows NT severed enterprise system. Served on a five-member team responsible for the 1.5 million dollar conversion of legacy university alumni development system databases. Project required critical accuracy with database mapping conversion. Specific role in deployment and reporting of both end user training and support with analysis development for system management.
