About Michael Riss
I like and know about information processing systems, both artificial and natural. I studied computer science with electrical engineering as minor subject to cover artificial information processing systems from software down to hardware.During my PhD I could extend my knowledge to natural, "wet" information processing hardware, working with in-vitro neurons growing in neuro-devices.I'm fascinated by the idea of bringing these two information processing systems - brain and computer - together.The area I'm interested to work in is neuro engineering; either in basic science, developing neuro interfaces (in-vitro or in-vivo) or in applied science, using neuro engineering methods in drug screening or prosthetics development.Further work interests are artificial intelligence research and individual magnetic levitation transport systems.Contact EMail: Michael.Riss@gmail.com
