Working as part of a £1.4bn programme by leading the stakeholder interfaces with over 60 rail projects across the UK. The team was accountable to interface with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies within the rail industry. The purpose of this role was to identify and develop key strategic relationships with external project to realise mutual benefits. I was also responsible for the early stage development, stakeholder consultation and business case for sub-projects within the programme.In addition, the role also required the revision and implementation of internal assurance processes including co-ordinating internal reviews at key points in the project timetable to ensure to ensure that the programme delivered to target and that all works were completed in accordance with project milestones.

Working within the Sponsor Team of the National Rail Telecoms Programme. My primary responsibility was to liaise with key stakeholders, identify and develop any potential opportunities for providing support from that programme to national rail enhancement projects to provide cost benefits to the company. From August 2010 to February 2012 I was seconded into the Sponsor Team for the Thameslink Programme, where I was required to manage projects related to the track portfolio and signalling and telecoms portfolio throughout the various different stages of their life cycle; from initiation to fruition.Success: During my time at the Thameslink Programme, I have developed and implemented reports to allow the Rail Systems Sponsor team to periodically track variance in dates for stagegate reviews across multiple work packages. By working closely with the Programme Controls team during the development phase, this process was enthusiastically received by Senior Sponsors, as a result of this the report will now be used across the programme.

Working as part of the Sponsor Team of the National Rail Telecommunications Programme where I assisted managers within the team in the development of synergy opportunities with projects both within Network Rail and with external companies.

I was responsible for the operational running of the centre which included meeting suppliers and contractors and the management of support personnel. In addition, as this office was in its final phases of construction, I was responsible for completing any reviews of snagging work, and ensuring that any potential warranty issues were closed out.
