I am dedicated to raising the minimal acceptable standard of living in our society high enough to keep people from dying in the streets.I am the Executive Director of Anything Helps, a non-profit organization that provides on-site housing-oriented support to people living in homeless encampments. As a Nationally Certified Peer Specialist and a County Certified Community Resource Specialist, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my role. I also bring years of experience in project management, program development, strategic planning, and research in the field of homelessness and behavioral health to my work.My passion for this cause stems from my personal journey through homelessness, addiction, and mental illness, which has given me unique insights into the challenges and needs of those we serve. I have initiated and led numerous collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders across the country aimed at improving how vulnerable populations are perceived, served, and empowered. I regularly and openly share my story, opinion and expertise through publications, presentations, and advocacy efforts to foster greater understanding and to catalyze change.
