• Technical expert for chemistry and radiological control equipment, supervised four submarines within the organization for the Navy’s only overseas naval base, located in Piti, Guam.• Conducted operational inspections and surveillances, generated reports, and communicated results to upper level management. • Mentored and trained supervisory personnel on work planning, issue resolution, process improvement, quality assurance, and executing high risk evolutions. • Conducted over 20 engineering readiness assessments and root cause analysis for four engineering departments.• Provided executive level oversight for a subordinate’s maintenance period resulting in quality performance and no delays in execution of complex evolutions.

• Performed work planning, execution, and supervision of seven technicians in the day to day operation of a nuclear-powered submarine. • Maintained all chemistry and radiological control equipment records onboard to include: Radiation Health, Radioactive Material, Radioactive Discharge, Reactor Chemistry, Steam Plant Chemistry and Radiological Survey records.• Developed and provided training for all personnel onboard the submarine on radiological protective procedures, equipment and casualty response. • Supervised complex and infrequent engineering maintenance and testing procedures. • Managed testing and operational challenges associated with the construction and deployment of one of the newest Virginia class submarines including initial hydrostatic testing, chemistry establishment and initial operations with zero deficiencies and ahead of schedule.

• Instructed and supervised 254 students in mechanical theory resulting in a 97% graduation rate in the Navy’s most demanding engineering training program.• Directed teaching activities in the formalized training environments. Delivered training material, administered tests, counseled students on academic problems, documented academic performance, evaluated training, and performed curriculum maintenance tasks to ensure validated formalized training requirements are executed. • Evaluated curriculum for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program Conversion Team, systematically analyzing every facet of operations at the operator skill set level. Developed required skills, expectations and standards for operators, providing astute guidance to instructional design prime contractors.
