If you want to teach them Heaven, teach them food. If you want to teach them the world, teach them busyness and business."It really surprises me that much of modern education turns its back on practical creativity. Especially in the Christian schools. We wearily tread a path down Platonic founded pedagogy and laud and uphold our children's performance of abstract markers and vie to place new teaching methods over all of this to further enhance their performance in the same. The result is students that are covered in plaudits but have little discernible, practical fit into society, or understanding of why and what they have done for such a significant period of their lives. I would like to deploy my skills and experience in an an environment willing to explore all or elements of this, a place with a 'can do' attitude and a spirit of the overcomer prevail, for God's glory."The 17th Century Classroom is about done, our children should feel they are walking onto the bridge of the Starship Enterprise if we are ever to succeed in convincing them that what they perceive as our outmoded and outdated views are still relevant."
