With over two decades of environmental consulting and primary research experience, I manage and lead highly technical environmental consulting work for projects across the Pacific Northwest. I serve as the Chief Financial Officer for MFA, which combines financial prowess with a deep knowledge of the environmental consulting industry. My specific practice areas include groundwater, legal support, project direction, contaminant characterization, permitting, compliance, data analysis, and allocation allowing me to support to a wide range of clients, from municipalities, to ports, to industry. I have significant experience characterizing all environmental media—soil, groundwater, NAPLs, stormwater, sediment, surface water, drinking water, wastewater, and soil vapor. My technical background includes groundwater-system analysis, chemical data analysis, statistical analysis, risk assessment, instrumentation studies, and contaminant fate and transport modeling using software packages such as MATLAB. In my experience as a marine scientist, I gained an extensive background in advanced data analysis techniques and management of complex field efforts in remote locations around the world.

In my experience as an oceanographic engineer, I gained extensive background in the development, fabrication, and testing of complex electronic circuits and systems for deployment by SCUBA in remote field locations.

For 3 field seasons in Moorea, French Polynesia, I served as field coordinator for a federally funded, long-term, biological field monitoring program. I was responsible for data collection (using self-contained breathing apparatus), instrumentation, and subsequent data analysis. I also maintained and serviced field equipment, SCUBA compressors, and small craft.

At Scripps, I was responsible for the deployment of oceanographic instrumentation and subsequent time series data analysis. I also prepared plots and data for publication in peer reviewed journals and coordinated field logistics.
