Music has been the passion of my life, and I imagine that isn't what you expected to see as the introduction to the summary of a tech professional.I have been playing music, learning by ear at first, since about the age of 8. It began at a piano keyboard. Not long after I began to pursue the instrument, I was introduced to another keyboard in my 5th-grade classroom. It was attached to a beige box called Apple II, and with some books in the school library I began to learn how to write programs on it in BASIC with a friend. Thus were formed the interests that have shaped the direction of my professional life.Music triumphed in the internal struggle about what to study in college - my years of homeschooling provided more opportunity for music practice than many of my friends in school had - but I never stopped self-educating in computer technology and many other fields. In my current position, as in prior work, I am enabled to serve my team more profitably due to the benefits provided both by years of intensive discipline in the arts and an ongoing love of learning.At present, I do all I can to maintain outlets for both passions - the technical and technological as software engineer at RDW Technologies, and the musical through local church leadership (I was converted to Christianity around the age of 14) and session work for private recording studios.
