MEET MICHAEL ► An expert in delivering 'Train the Trainer' programmes, I am a 4-time UK National Public Speaking champion and 9-time national finalist; coupled with a background as a professional musician and an extensive career in Sales, Sales Training & Sales Management. I have developed a profound understanding of the different aspects of training, communication & public performance. EXPERTISE ► My expertise is in the field of training, coaching and mentoring. I was a part of the team that developed Edexcel’s BTEC Professional Award programme in ‘Training the Trainer’. I have an English Literature degree at York University, plus 4 years’ studying music at the 'Franz Liszt' Academy in Weimar (Germany). This gave me the foundation for my unique insights into both the technical and psychological aspects of communication. OUR CLIENTS ► I have written and presented communication training seminars for many major UK organisations and have spoken in front of groups of people ranging from a dozen to over 2,000. I am passionate about training and mentoring newly qualifying Public Speaking trainers at the Speakers Trust. My passion is helping human beings communicate to the very best of their ability. I do this particularly through programmes in 'Training the Trainer' and 'Storytelling for Business and Training'. PROGRAMMES ► All coaches, trainers, managers and teachers need to be able to communicate well on many levels. They particularly need to be sure that what they mean to say is the same as what the other person hears (and that is not always as simple as it seems!).WHO DO I HELP ► I help Senior HR Leaders, Training Managers & Individual Trainers, to help and support them develop the training skills necessary for their own and their business’ ongoing success. As one of the Founders of the College of Public Speaking, we met as members of a voluntary organisation while engaged in separate occupations of sales, IT training, business leadership and marketing. Over time we lost the connection with our charitable roots and Covid 19 forced the company into liquidation.As an award-winning National Speech champion, I was able to offer a level of practical experience to our students while remaining an avid student of the subject as. With years of experience across these disciplines (both nationally and internationally), each delivery is well-researched, up to date and full of practical advice and experience.
