I am a dedicated, self-driven, high-achieving individual. In my current role I am an alkaline (primary) cell product design scientist for Duracell, Inc., responsible for translating pilot-scale designs into production-scale qualification trials. I hold a Master of Science degree in Chemistry (awarded 2014) from Stony Brook University, where I completed an intensive one-year academic research program focusing on the synthesis and structural characterization of novel cathode materials in secondary electrochemical cells. I aspire to deepen my technical knowledge and specialization in materials science through the pursuit of a doctoral degree (PhD), with the intent of aligning that work with current business needs.I place great emphasis on utilizing and refining my organizational and communication skills, courtesy, and professionalism in all life aspects. Further, my familial ties to professional first responders (firefighters and law enforcement officers) inspire me to serve in roles dedicated to preserving workplace safety and to responding to emergency situations. My diverse intellectual and extraprofessional interests extend beyond the scope of my formal education and training, and include creative writing and etymology, hiking and camping, and a burgeoning fondness for domestic and international travel. I give abundantly of my time as a volunteer lay minister in my Catholic faith community to promulgate the Gospel message of Jesus Christ through word and deed.Professional Specialties: Alkaline Cell Design, Energy Research, Data Analysis, Synthetic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Crystallography, Materials Science, Semiconductors, Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry
