CurrentAfter only one year with police services, I advanced from Junior Forensic Analyst to Forensic Analyst. I was also asked to take on additional responsibilities regarding Training and Department Human Resources functions. ► AS FORENSIC ANALYST TRAINERI conducted INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKSHOPS—developing associated training materials—on the topics of forensics, crime scene investigations and public awareness.FORENSIC & CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION WORKSHOPS ♦ I lead groups of typically 30 students through a 3 week intensive training course on Crime Scene Examination, Evidence Recovery and DNA Evidence Collection. Competencies covered included:Evidence Identification | Evidential Value | Blood Stain Pattern Recognition | Proper Evidence Documentation | Crime Scene Health And Safety | Forensic Anthropology | Forensic Entomology | Anti-Mortums & Post-Mortums.PUBLIC AWARENESS TRAINING ♦ I presented various developments in Forensic Science to the public at awareness events sponsored by police services. They were conducted at local universities or sponsoring organizations.► AS REPORT DEVELOPERI provided COMPREHENSIVE EVIDENCE REPORTS—ensuring complete accuracy of all data—according to the deadlines. In addition I developed evidence statistics and reports. I also researched, updated, and modified law enforcement database information when appropriate.► AS HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORTAs the acting CUSTODIAN FOR EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING, I maintained the records of the 250 staff members of the Forensic Science Laboratory, tracked updates to qualifications, conducted training gap analysis, and recommended further staff development.I also acted as TRAINING REGISTRAR covering all aspects of staff training from initial call-up and registration through training to the final certification.
