About Michael Rustell

I'm a Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Brunel University London, where I teach and supervise research in AI applications within civil engineering. In addition to my academic role, I actively contribute to the field as a member of the British Standards Institute (BSI) committee for Artificial Intelligence and the PIANC UK committee.Outside academia, I lead Inframatic, a generative engineering company currently building and Engineering CoPilot and providing consultancy in three core areas:Clients Engineer – We bridge the gap between civil engineers and external data science providers, ensuring technical scopes are well-defined and projects solve real engineering problems.AI Roadmaps – We help companies identify AI opportunities and risks, creating actionable plans to integrate AI effectively.Technical Leadership – We guide internal AI teams, providing the direction needed to transform their potential into real-world impact.I’m also Co-Founder of Vect, applying AI to enhance construction tendering processes. If you're exploring how AI can transform your engineering projects, let's connect.
