I completed two internships at Stanford University: Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program and Leadership Education for Aspiring Physicians. I was honored to shadow a Neurosurgeon in the operating room for 4 months. I graduated from UC Merced with highest honors and received the Outstanding Student Award, which is only given to 12 students in the school of Natural Sciences. I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain to complete a years worth of Physics in only two months. I was a part of a medical fraternity on campus called Phi Delta Epsilon, which helped surround me with driven and like-minded individuals who valued giving back to the Merced community. I was also apart of the Leadership Student Advisory Board on campus, where we helped prepare for the annual leadership conference. I am now working as a Lab Manager in the Knight Lab at University of California, Berkeley.
