About Michael Wiggins

Over the last 15 years I have worked in a handful of sectors from retail management, event work, interning at University and working for the Students' Union in elected roles, to graphic design and grounds maintenance.I pride myself on learning anything and everything that I can. Every skill and all of the experience I have gained over the years are transferable and l wish to utilise them to form a valuable part of a long-term career.I very much consider myself a 'Jack of all trades, master of none' and I have been searching for a calling to master for a while to no avail, so I sought more direction by enrolling on an Undergraduate degree in Games Design, which I graduated with a 1st in 2021. Other than my passion for learning and growth, the games industry is where my heart is. Interactivity and usability form the driving force behind my career goals now. Anything with great form and functionality pleases me. Given my current knowledge, passion and experience I would love to learn even more and work towards mastering a role in the games industry in any and all of the following; UI/UX, marketing & PR, project management, organisational/planning, level design, writing and research.

I have begun a new venture into creating an online store and drag booking service for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. There are many ambitious plans for the future of the business, including opening a brick-and-mortar store in 2024. In the meantime we will be serving the community online and at pride events around the UK!The planned product range is extensive and will grow with the company. Initially items sought after by trans people and drag performers, along with pride merch will be stocked.
