Promoted to a new position in the Oncology Research Unit, with increased responsibility to support and advance projects in R&D pipeline.- Act as the lead biology associate on a late-state pre-clinical drug discovery team, a multidisciplinary group of over 35 research scientists. Developed multiple screens and in-vivo models to ensure rapid progression of the project. Discovered novel biology surrounding the EZH2 protein, which has aided the group in narrowing down specific patient populations and will increase the probability of success of our drug.- Performed pre-exploratory work on a number of early discovery drug targets. This work has allowed the group to make timely decisions on whether to advance several of these projects to the development stage.- Honors: Pfizer R&D Individual Performance Award (November, 2013) and W.E.Upjohn Award (January, 2015) for exceptional performance and significant scientific contributions.

Member of a Diabetes research group dedicated to investigating biology surrounding several new therapeutic targets and performing pre-clinical validation work.- Developed and performed experiments that confirmed efficacy of a potentially innovative treatment (PF-05231023) for Type-2 Diabetes. This work was critical in securing FDA approval for Phase I clinical trials of this drug, which are currently ongoing in multiple locations around the US. - Developed and validated original assays and platforms for high-throughput screening of drug candidates. Adapted these assays to a number of different endpoints, allowing them to be used by dozens of colleagues and impacting multiple projects throughout the Research Unit.
