As part of a 3 person engineering team, primarily owned mechanical design responsibilities for the development of novel laparoscopic instruments.Duties included design feasibility, material selection, design for manufacturing, assembly, and testing.

-Responsible for the mechanical design and manufacturability of a new generation of HLD and Terminal Sterilization biomedical products.-Ran and operated a 3D printer lab, creating patent-able new designs, fabricating prototypes for testing in a lab environment.-Utilized SolidWorks for complex assemblies, employing concepts such as CFD, FEA & mechanical analysis to drive design. Used DFM features to enable better communication with our overseas manufacturing partners.-Drafted and released engineering drawings and specifications through change orders and PLM system.-Wrote and executed engineering technical reports, design verification protocols, and system requirement documents.
