I use technology to tell stories. The technologies are varied and the venues run the gamut. But the feelings are always visceral and outsized, taking your mind to places you never knew existed.Based on a solid foundation of Information Technology, I bring together lighting, audio, video, special effects, broadcast, industrial controls, electronics, and software, to tell a story. I rarely come up with the story -- that's for the right brainers out there. But I've found my passion to be using technology to tell the wild, crazy, sometimes seemingly impossible stories that creatives and artists write. The past few years, that passion has shifted to helping others tell that story; less coding, more management, mentoring, and planning. But I still love to get my hands dirty when I can, and think that's an important part of successful technical management.My most recent project was the groundbreaking MSG Sphere in Las Vegas. I worked on it for over 5 years, touching nearly every area of technology. Sphere pushes so many boundaries on its way to redefining how live performances can be done.
