Golden Mean focuses on tactical business operations and technology consulting engagements often involving project management, integration with third party systems, enhancements to existing systems, and new business processes. Experience with performing C-level roles (e.g. COO, CTO) on an interim or part-time basis for firms in transitional or growth phases with emerging needs but limited human resources budgets. In February 2016, Golden Mean completed the development of Clue Catcher, an IOS and Android app designed to be used by Speech Language Pathologists, Special Educators, Teachers and parents. The app teaches children how to use context clues to define unfamiliar words. Other recent projects have included Salesforce.com customization, Quickbooks Enterprise/Commission Calculator integration, Concur Expense, Transfer Agent data integrations, IOS application design, Google Apps for Business deployments, and interfacing with various Merchant Services.

Millennium Martial Arts (www.4selfdefense.com) is a traditional school (dojo) teaching Okinawan Ryukyu Kempo Karate (empty hand) and Kobudo (traditional weapons use). In addition to karate, our iKickbox Fitness program is very popular among adults and teens. We are especially proud of our success in teaching children with special needs. I have been training in the martial arts for over 25 years, teach all ages and levels of students from children to adults, and manage the day-to-day operations of the business including systems, sales, scheduling and customer service. I hold a 5th Degree Black Belt.

DLA is a full service, self-clearing, FINRA/SIPC Member Broker Dealer operating primarily in the Northeastern part of the United States and Florida. The firm specializes in the marketing and sales of mutual funds, fixed income securities, and non-publicly traded REITs. There are five regional sales offices in addition to its corporate headquarters. I was responsible for the largest non-sales business unit. I reported directly to the CEO.

Essex Corporation was one of the largest Third Party Marketers of financial services and products to Banks and Broker Dealers throughout the United States. Essex enabled these institutions to participate in the sales of financial products without having to maintain their own Insurance Agencies, Broker Dealers, or Back Offices. In addition to being the holding company for over 40 Insurance Agencies, the company owned and operated an NASD/SIPC Broker Dealer, Essex National Securities Inc. The Corporate headquarters were in New York City and the Broker Dealer Operations was located in Napa, California. I supervised enterprise-wide network operations, end-user support, and application development. IT services were provided to over 200 corporate end users, a 90-person nationwide mobile sales force, as well as several hundred people at 50 banks throughout the United States. I reported directly to the President and CEO.

ProtoCall Technologies Inc. is the parent corporation of ProtoCall Software Delivery Systems, and Precision Type Inc. While I was integrally involved at the executive management level of both divisions, my day-to-day focus for the last two years of my employment there had been on ProtoCall. ProtoCall’s mission was to develop and deploy CD-ROM based Electronic Software Distribution (ESD), eCommerce, and Supply Chain Management Systems into major retail environments. Emphasis in development was on security, user interface, performance and reliability. My primary objective was to maintain product vision throughout the development process in order to ensure that the end result matched the business model. Precision Type, Inc. was the world’s largest distributor of Font Software representing over 70 type foundries. The company’s main focus was to be on the cutting edge of font software technology and market these products to Fortune 500, advertising agencies, graphic designers and other users on an international basis via a 700-page mail order catalog and web site. Precision Type was the first user of ProtoCall Technologies’ SoftwareToGo System (developed under my direction) which allowed for the Electronic Software Distribution of over 18,000 products to a network of 120 dealers via a point-of-sale digital vending system.The office in Commack, NY housed the development, sales and administrative groups, as well as a software duplicating facility and shipping department. The upper management of the company consisted of a four-person team including the CEO, COO, the CFO, and myself. I reported directly to the CEO.

Health Loom Corporation is a manufacturer, importer and wholesaler of unisex knitwear. The company coordinates the production of various lines of clothing in the Far East, arranges for the exporting from the country of origin, and the import into the destination country. The main office, in Manhattan, houses the administrative staff, the sales force, and the warehouse.

The Greek Age and College Letters were a three unit chain of retail stores specializing in the customizing of athletic sportswear. All production was done at in-house factory facilities. A mail order catalog was distributed nationwide with a particular focus on the northeast, and was responsible for generating 20% of total revenues.
