Prior to that, Michael was an Assoc. Director for Consumer Marketing within the Duopa brand team overseeing: Direct to consumer advertising, building and programming CRM, Disease State Awareness, digital marketing (Video,Web, Digital Media), Advocacy development, patient services and product branding. Michael was New England’s Senior District Business Manager in Abbott Laboratories’ Pharmaceutical Products Division, specializing in Virology. He was the #1 sales manger for HIV/Virology franchise in 2010, with his team taking the 4 of the top 5 sales positions.Mr. Schaffer brings with him more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and IT which has uniquely suited him for managing within the emerging pharmaceutical and biotech arena. He joined Abbott in 1990 as a Business Systems Analyst, and later moved into primary and specialty care sales roles. In 1999, he became a Clinical Scientist for Virology and since then he has held positions in Virology Marketing and Sales Management.
