Co-developed and taught a graduate online course titled "Environmental and Social Justice" at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. Teach classes at churches and centers, lead retreats and workshops locally and nationally.

Responsible for all program and event development, delivery, and evaluation. Serve on the leadership team and help guide overall strategic direction.

Responsible for curriculum development, co-leading training (content and logistics), mentoring young adult co-leaders, communication with and support of the growing national, volunteer, young adult network of Natural Leaders (268 strong).

- Coordinate, plan, and promote the Center for Environmental Justice and Sustainability’s (CEJS) events (including CEJS’s major inaugural conference).- Develop relationships across campus (with students, faculty, staff, departments) to initially establish CEJS and further its campus-wide mission.- Develop programs with student leaders/groups and with faculty/staff and departments.- Lead outreach to Seattle area organizations and agencies focused on justice and sustainability.- Write content for and update CEJS website using Ektron CMS.- Hire and supervise student interns and facilitate work experience.

Selected for this newly created position to lead and represent the national Episcopal Church on environmental and economic justice issues.- Served on the 2009 White House Task Force on Environment and Climate Change for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships; co-wrote recommendations to the Obama Administration.- Developed resources and tools such as a guide for schools and congregations seeking to reduce energy use, save money, and promote environmental stewardship throughout their operations.- Launched and supported programmatic initiatives including a Green Certification Program for congregations, an Eco-Justice Leadership Institute for young adults, and an initial determination of the church’s nation-wide carbon footprint.- Represented TEC on the World Council of Churches’ Climate Change Working Group and the National Council of Churches’ Eco-Justice Working Group. Collaborated on environmental advocacy work at the national and international level.- Frequent workshop leader and speaker at events and conferences across the country.- Supported and grew the Episcopal Network for Economic Justice and the Episcopal Ecological Network, which developed resources and compelled prophetic action within the broader church.

Hired to manage $1.5 million Natural Soil Building program and promote Tilth’s organic gardening and community development work. Chartered with building solid relationships with local community leaders and writing a new grant to sustain program. - Supervised six employees providing education and community resource consulting on organic gardening, lawn care, landscaping, and composting.- Prepared and managed budgets, negotiated scopes of work, managed consultants.

Wrote and received grants and raised $30,000 to write and edit a third book with curriculum focusing on money, sustainable economics, justice, and faith titled Money and Faith: The Search for Enough. - Requested to speak and lead workshops and retreats nationally within eco-justice field.

Recruited back to EM. Served as Development Director, leading EM’s first major, multi-year campaign, and functioned as one of the “faces” of the organization promoting its mission and advocacy. Edited/authored second book and study-guide titled Food and Faith: Justice, Joy, and Daily Bread. - Served as Interim Director for six months during time of significant organizational transition.- Directed overall fundraising plan—campaigns, grant writing, major donor gifts, and mail appeals.- Frequently taught, spoke, and led retreats/workshops locally and nationally on topics such as justice and theology, economics and poverty, simpler living, and food and faith.- Wrote communication pieces to interpret our mission and programs to donors.

Brought on board to this newly created position chartered with outreach and program development. Promoted EM through speaking, teaching, and writing. Developed programs and resources for congregations to connect faith with living more sustainably on the planet. Wrote grants and built relationships with major individual donors.- Led development and delivery of EM programs in areas of simpler living/over-consumption, economic justice, sustainable agriculture, and eco-theology.- Co-led the establishment of Earth Ministry’s Colleague Network of 100 congregational activists, committed to carrying out sustainability measures in their own congregations.- Editor/author of the book and study guide Simpler Living, Compassionate Life: A Christian Perspective (SLCL). SLCL has become one of the publisher’s top-sellers and won 2nd place award in Catholic Press Association’s spirituality category.- Assistant Editor of the journal Earth Letter, distributed to 2,000 members focused on sharing stories about EM’s mission, and on eco-theology, environmental issues, and nature writing.

Accepted this six-month seasonal contract to plan, prepare, and present natural science/history interpretive programs, to develop and lead an eight-week environmental education program for Junior Rangers, and write a trail guide to a woodland walk.

- Co-managed $3 million Morocco Project. Served as contract liaison/contact person.- Developed numerous multi-year budgets and helped write proposals for contracts with the US Agency for International Development, World Bank, and United Nations.- Recruited consultants, facilitated overseas assignments, and developed consultant roster.
