Having held various roles in startup, large corporations and acquired technologies across the built environment, aka, AEC Industry, it uniquely positions Mr. Dorman to lead a new organization to help shape and drive sustainable change. Previously Michael served as VP, Building Solutions Group, US/CAN for Hexagon AB, where his focus was client acquisition, structuring integrated solutions across 9 different lines of business and managing a new organization within Hexagon AB. Michael also served as VP, Building Construction, US/CAN for Leica Geosystems a Hexagon AB company. Michael was also VP, International Operations for Multivista Systems, a Hexagon AB company and served as a Senior Partner, Owner of various Multivista markets. Having served in various sales and management roles during the digital revolution of other industries such as Telecommunications and Financial Services it opens the opportunity to leverage common best practices to the built environment. He is husband and father, carries a strong education from The Ohio State University and years of playing competitive sports. His passion is to lead people and see them achieve their dreams, support his community, learning through failure and keeping an open mind to anything that crosses his path. He enjoys travel and has experienced over 38 countries and cultures. I’ve learned so many things but the one constant is we are all human beings and to treat others the way I wish to be treated.Lastly my favorite thing is being with my wife and two sons, Meredith, Hayes and our billet son Nolan. They are both avid hockey players and we enjoy golf. I’m fortunate to have a loving immediate and extended family who has supported me throughout my life. I do have a life long dream of acting and who knows maybe one day I’ll have that opportunity. I enjoy grabbing a microphone and belting out a song at a moments notice. I come from a small town, Cumberland, MD and was fortunate to make lifelong friends while growing up there in the 70’s, 80’s and part of the 90’s. I’m still very active in my high school alumni association and have been inducted into the The MD Catholic High School Hall of Fame. My story is unique and one I wish to share one day through a book, I will title it, “They Said, You Should Write a Book”.
