I assisted EarthCheck by providing strategic and operational advice to the CEO and Management.

The Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development (ACSBD) focuses on accelerating the industrial and commercial utilisation of sustainability and environmental innovation. The Centre is based at USQ Springfield on Brisbane's south- western outskirts and at USQ's main campus at Toowoomba.The Centre's research is grounded in high quality research projects involving partners from industry, government and other research centres. Platforms for collaborative research and development exist in sectors as diverse as energy and water, agriculture, tourism and urban design and development.

CDP Waste2Energy was a waste to fuel & energy company headquartered in Brisbane, Australia. My role as COO was to provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational resources and controls in place to effectively grow whilst facilitating operating efficiency.

I was a Director in Deloitte's Risk Advisory leading the delivery of Sustainability Services in the State of Queensland, Australia and the delivery of social sustainability, shared value and international development aid projects nationally and across the Asia-Pacific.

I was a member of the Working Group for Climate Change Adaptation for Inland and Maritime Infrastructure. Our goals are to:·Inform PIANC on how navigation may be affected by climate change.·Advise PIANC on where and how adaptation and mitigation actions need to be taken so that the necessary actions and investment can be performed in a proactive way.·Provide a common and basic platform for all PIANC commissions to build up their work plans regarding climate change.·Monitor maritime navigation mitigation activities undertaken by other organisations, to disseminate information and to contribute to ongoing work where appropriate.·Collate and co-ordinate currently disparate information, identifying gaps and contributing to further knowledge and guidance in the area of maritime climate change adaptation.

My role at GPC was to manage the sustainability, energy, water, waste and climate risk programs across Port assets including the Port of Gladstone, Port of Rockhampton, and Port of Bundaberg. I ensured GPC met relevant Commonwealth and State Government legislation and policies as well as setting strategy for sustainable development across Port facilities.Specific areas of coordination included:• Energy conservation, efficiency and renewable energy opportunities • Greenhouse gas management, monitoring and verification• Waste management• Water conservation and watershed management• Climate Risk Analysis, adaptation, and mitigation strategy • Managing obligations and reporting under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act, Waste Avoidance and Recycling Act, National Pollutant Inventory and other regulatory obligations.In addition, I worked with GPC staff and management to set goals for sustainability, developing sustainability metrics for their work area, identifying improvement ideas, and providing advice and training to support GPC Teams.

My role at QGC was to provide a strong link between the community and QGC through social sustainability engagement and investment activity, risk identification, impact management and communications. The role was critical for ensuring delivery of impact management/mitigation and communications to Gladstone region stakeholders during the QCLNG construction period, including message development, meetings and briefings. I was a key point of contact for stakeholders impacted by construction and commissioning/start-up (CSU) activities.Responsibilities:• Maintain contact/communications with internal project team and external interface points including contractors to ensure alignment of all QCLNG public communication;• Maintain familiarity with contract obligations of EPC contract, construction activity schedules, regulatory conditions and permits, including data collation for compliance reporting;• Monitor construction work schedules and EPC reports to identify dates for activity identified as triggers for public communication;• Social investment and impact mitigation partnership and project management activity;• Develop strategies, plans and schedules for public engagement activity/communications, including media, meetings, briefings and presentations; and,• Public relations activity including identification and development of promotional content and leverage opportunities including monitoring public satisfaction with construction/CSU related communication and activity.

EarthCheck works with over 1300 businesses, in 70 Countries representing over $18 Billion in combined revenue internationally. EarthCheck work with enterprises, destinations, government and communities to:- Set and achieve sustainability goals with a triple-bottom-line focus; -collect, analyse and interpret operational data; and,- Plan, manage, monitor and achieve business, development and marketing objectives.At EarthCheck I was tasked with managing the sustainability and training unit. Working with Australian staff and International Partners/Offices, I established profitable consulting service delivery linking traditional advisory and consulting services with certification and analysis. I worked with large organisations in providing advice, strategy, measurement, and analysis of carbon, energy, water, and waste. I also managed the EarthCheck Training Academy and delivery of education for sustainability programs in over 15 countries.

The national Cleantech Industry Capability Teams will provide a mechanism for diverse cleantech companies to effectively collaborate in their dealings with these customer groups. Cleantech Industry Capability Teams target the following five customer groups: 1. Built Environment and Infrastructure 2. Mining/Resource and Minerals Processing 3. Food and Beverage Production and Processing 4. Manufacturing 5. Developing Countries The Cleantech Industry Capability Teams are an initiative of the Federal Government’s Supplier Advocate Program and its Clean Technology Focus for Supply Chains. I was appointed to this role in 2012 by the Federal Government and led the Cleantech for Food and Beverage Production and Processing Team in it's first year.

Global Greetag and Ecospecifier Global are leading third party, green product rating and certification environmental services companies underpinned by the GreenTag certification system, a rigorous scientific and Lifecycle Assessment methodology. At Global Greetag and Ecospecifier Global I was responsible for strategic, human resource, financial and departmental management for all aspects of the company driving the growth and expansion of national and international teams. In addition, I acted as the GreenTag Program Manager overseeing the Ecospecifier Quality Management System (ISO9001), which included the progress of products through the GreenTag™ Certification programs and risk management systems and analysis.

I provided an interim solution for the University of the Sunshine Coast, Faculty of Arts and Business when requested to lend my professional experience to leading the teaching team for SUS 201 ‘Empowering People for Environmental Sustainability’.
