Michael Seiden is an Associate Director of Technology at FINRA. Michael's career spans 28 years originating from the earliest web-based technologies and evolved into designing and deploying cloud-based solutions. Michael has over 15 years experience operating at a software manager or lead capacity. Michael has been recognized for a relentless approach to dissecting and solving technical challenges throughout his career. He has been described as a well-rounded technical professional among his peers and leadership. Michael follows servant-leader approach, to empower and position his teams for long-term success. Michael acquired a strong breadth and depth of software engineering experience using development methodologies, including Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). Michael is currently using Agile-based methodologies, such as Commitment Based Project Management (CBPM) and Scrum. Prior to joining FINRA, Michael worked for American Innovations, 3M, Hewlett Packard, Inc (now Hewlett Packard Enterprise), Dell Technologies, and MCI Telecommunications Corporation (now Verizon). Michael graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 1996. Michael is 90%+ fluent in speaking and writing Portuguese.
