Waterfall is a multi-platform real estate and community development business. It is the creation of the second and third generations of the Boyd family with carefully recruited executives from outside of the family. Michael Glass, lead Architect of Waterfall, is calling on 32 years of experience to deliver this vehicle. It is an important personal mission.

In its day, Dana Glass Properties. LLC [DGP] was a community development firm. For over 25 years, DGP received national, state and regional recognition for DGP's sustainable community design and development. New home communities were built with for sale and rental neighborhoods. Additionally, the company had experience in market rate, workforce, student housing, office, live/work and neighborhood retail shops. Early affiliates included, Community Home Mortgage Company, Community Residential Abstract, Inc. a general contractor, and Glass Development Company. DGP had a vertically integrated delivery system which it used to delivery new homes efficiently to its customers.During the growth period in the 90's through the recession, The business aggressively reinvested earnings, and realized substantial growth multiples. DGP led it’s projects though government relations, entitlements, permits, horizontal improvements for the sale of improved building lots to home builders and the construction (and management) of multifamily assets for the real estate portfolio. The company performed to every schedule and budget. Approximately 6,000 housing units and $1.9 Billion in transactions are a part of the DGP legacy.

Sustainable Energy Holdings [SEH] was a start up company with a mission to build and operate utility scale solar energy generation facilities. SEH had a pipeline of 40 MW of fully entitled projects, in Pennsylvania as phase one of the roll out of the business. The founding principals elected to abandon SEH due to a lack of federal energy policy and inefficient SREC markets - particularly in in Pennsylvania and Mid-Atlantic region. The sustainable energy policy objectives and experience gained through the SEH venture will be a part of the culture of Waterfall. If we ever have a federal government capable of providing the leadership, energy policy and legislative infrastructure needed then SEH is poised to capitalize on this experience.

This was Mr. Glass's first job. He began working one week after graduation from St. Lawrence University. For about 5 years, Mr. Glass learned the business, working closely with his grandmother Elva Boyd Wilson and uncle Norris D. Boyd [Co-Founders of Boyd/Wilson]. The job duties included; due diligence on potential community development possibilities and three hotels. Mr. Glass also worked in hotel operations, condominium sales and property management. This experiences laid the foundation for Mr. Glass's business career and interests.
