Over the last two decades, I founded and grew two medical science and communication companies into successful businesses. Building strategic professional relationships with some of the most prestigious national and international thought leaders across academia, government, private industry, and nonprofit sectors, I initiated hundreds of projects in collaboration with the world’s top pharmaceutical companies. A pioneering medical media/communication expert, I have produced/directed >1,100 medical education programs and received >330 national/international awards.A sampling of my career highlights:-- Developed the scientific platform and professional communications for the successful launch of > 70 pharmaceutical products--Coordinated partnerships between industry and the NIH, NIMH, NAEPP, and U.S. Olympic Committee that resulted in the development of national professional education programs.--As the sole physician elected to the Directors Guild of America, co-produced/co-directed seven national PBS specials and produced/directed an NIH documentary on the Human Genome Project with Drs. James Watson and Francis Collins and the 50th Anniversary program with Dr. Steven Hyman.--Co-founded a non-profit organization to champion adoption of standards for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) advertising.
