* Active Directory and Server Support- Maintained Windows 2008 domain, DNS, DHCP and file and print services kept in central data center as well as remote servers across individual schools.- Managed over 10 physical VMware hosts and 100 virtual servers with a mix of host and virtual server operating systems and storage configurations.- Resolved broken upgrade from 2003/XP environment to 2008/7 environment that caused issues across the entire school district.- Recreated intricate system of elaborate, nested login scripts into AD group policies that modified registry settings, printer installs, drive mappings and security group memberships.* User and Application Support - Managed over 5000 student, teacher and administrative staff user accounts for multiple school districts in Western Pennsylvania.- Provided final level of support for desktop and server applications, hosted email and web-based business applications.- Built secure cloud access environment using webNetwork from Lenovo to allow students, teachers and administrators to access network files and applications from their own devices.* Network Management- Created and deployed 802.1x secure, pre-shared key and guest networks via Enterasys wireless access points, switches and management software.- Configured and repaired network switch configurations to keep security, projectors, telephone and user traffic on their own VLANs.* Project Management and Documentation- Developed comprehensive project charters and change control documentation that includes all activities to be completed, project budgets and milestones to track progress.

* System Support- Maintained operational stability for the Cerner Classic and Millennium HP OpenVMS hardware and software platforms.- Supported Windows 2003 middleware and fax servers as well as the Citrix front-end environment supporting users across 8 hospitals and 15 urgent care clinics in the Hampton Roads region.* HIPAA Compliance - Implemented and supervised Red Hat Linux based HIPAA compliance monitoring system for both Cerner lab and radiology environments. - Authored new ad-hoc reports as required by the Program Managers to verify HIPAA compliance.* User and Application Support- Installed and maintained new Windows 2003 servers, SQL server databases and clinical applications for various departments my supervisor contacted.- Provided technical support for the entire system to the users and acted as a liaison to the software developers for the applications.

* Application and Data Warehouse Development- Developed data warehouse of clean, verified and relational data for the Port of Virginia from numerous, different sources of unclean and questionable data.- Migrated existing reports and developed new reports from customer requirements from the data warehouse.- Managed customer requirements and programming staff to create an interactive, web-based reporting tool using the created reports and allowing for user customization.

* Active Directory and Server Support - Supported Small Business Server 2003 environment for company including Active Directory user support and Exchange email support.- Maintained and replaced IBM servers, Cisco switches and Juniper firewalls for the office.- Built secure FTP server on Suse Linux from old hardware to provide secure and easy personnel file transfers between clients and the company.* User and Client Support- Provided system support for both COBRA and Flex Spending applications including: application patches and upgrades, new client update and reporting and fax server integration.

* Disaster Recovery- Designed and executed business continuity and disaster recovery process based on Windows 2000 servers and automated data-replication using NetApp hardware and software.* Active Directory, Server and Network Support- Designed, implemented and migrated a complete network overhaul and migration in less than four months from a NT Domain with 5 HP servers and hosted email with 3Com switches to a Windows 2000 domain with 15 Dell Servers, Active Directory and Exchange services on a Cisco backbone supporting 5 sites across Hampton Roads and Winchester, VA.

* Help Desk Support- Provided Tier 1 support to users across the entire business, including a global sales force.- Learned existing infrastructure, servers and applications in six weeks to relay to new IT Director due to unexpected staff changes immediately after hire.
