● Innovated a new packing design created to protect property during transit from one facility location to another.Delivered the communication and training required to utilize the new product to all staff members. This significantly reduced Christie’s costs and consumption of packing materials used for transfers of property. Directly resulting in a 35% reduction labor hours needed and saved an estimated $100,000 annually.● Negotiated a new vendor agreement for the purchase of our packing and warehousing materials which lowered our supply costs by $25,000 annually.● Designed and executed a dock scheduling software that has allowed Christie’s to schedule inbound and outbound shipments based on a time allotted system. ● Assigned as Facilities Manager for the company's new storage facility that was constructed for the housing of a major distribution product. Ensured the standards of the American Institute of Bakers (AIB) compliances were met for the pre/post construction of the warehouse. ● Negotiated the company’s telecommunications contract with multiple service providers for the company's five locations. The new contracted resulted in increased performance in service while lowering our bill by $15,000 annually.● Eliminated middle man buying from suppliers and went directly to manufacturers to negotiate pricing and shipping. This brought about an increase to our gross profit, as well as, having better competitive pricing due to lower costs.● Implemented the use of commodities brokers for diverse product lines and coordinated deliveries from domestic and international markets. Resulting in a stronger buying power and enabling the company to become a major wholesaler. Sales were directly increased by $80,000 in the first six months. ● Composed a 75 page policies and procedures manual that covered all the essential guidelines and practices that are required by the AIB standards. ● Lowered product inventory levels by more than 20% annually, while continuously maintaining adequate production. While enlisted in the Coast Guard I specialized in contracting and logistics.  The scale of my abilities ranged from drafting and executing purchasing requests, solicitation of requests for quotations, receiving requests for proposals, following guidelines set forth by both the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and Federal Acquisition Regulations, while utilizing the cradle to the grave procurement. When preparing and awarding contracts my primary focus was the reduction of costs, as well as, awarding purchases based on those low costs and specifications requirements.● Administered the entire competitive bidding and contract award process for the $200,000 renovation to the ship’s decks. ● Achieved an accuracy rating of 99% on our annual warehouse inventory audit for all of our 300,000 square feet of warehouse space.● Maintained accurate stocking levels of 18,000 individual items that were valued at $5 Million dollars. ● Issued contract change orders to reflect design and engineering modifications. ● Assigned as supervisor for 21 individuals who were responsible for preparing purchases for their designated departments in our unit.
