I really enjoy working with businesses of all kinds in corporate, commercial and day to day aspects of legal work and counseling, including those companies acquiring technology products and services and technology companies providing those products and services. Privacy and security has been a growing part of my work and is really interesting to me, resulting in my involvement with IAPP and Infragard. Recently I have been working with emerging and growth companies, manufacturing, biotech and solar energy companies which fit nicely with my interest in science, business growth, alternative energy and critical infrastructure. The most recent area for my work is in blockchain and distributed ledger. M&A work has been busy and I find that challenging and rewarding.My prior experience includes in-house counsel work for a public software company Comshare, Inc. as VP, General Counsel and Secretary, and with Chrysler, where I did the legal work for IT procurement and many of the e-commerce projects. I have had the honor of being recognized by the Best Lawyers in America in the Information Technology Section, by Michigan SuperLawyer in the Technology Transactions/Information Technology area in each year of its publication (2006-2019) and as a dBusiness Top Lawyer during each year the list was published. I was also chair of the State Bar Business Law and Information Technology Law Sections.
