In my role as an Account Representative during my placement year at Cummins Darlington, I had the opportunity to oversee roughly 6000 engine orders spanning across Australia, South America, and a diverse portfolio of European and American clients, prominently including Sennebogen, Sandvik, Epiroc, and Manitowoc. I also managed critical military orders for the DEP plant, ensuring their adherence to strict export controls and meticulously providing the required legal documentation for seamless processing within the plant. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in orchestrating international shipments between various plants, which entailed diligent tracking, efficient ordering, and precise transport booking to guarantee the timely delivery of engines to the intended recipients.In addition to my operational responsibilities, I undertook the task of researching and devising novel processes to enhance data tracking and streamline existing systems. This involved the creation of macros, formulas, and entirely new documents from scratch. Noteworthy implementations included the development of the RER order board, CTF-18 import option flag, and DBU WIP, all of which contributed to optimizing operational efficiency.Moreover, my engagement extended to training new team members, fostering their integration into the company. This role allowed me to showcase my effective communication skills as I not only facilitated the transition of new colleagues but also provided specialized training to existing staff in niche areas tailored to specific customers' needs.Through this role, I not only gained hands-on experience in managing complex operations and intricate logistics but also refined my organizational and communication skills, honed my ability to innovate and improve processes, and showcased my aptitude for effectively training and integrating new team members.
