About Michael Steffen

I love big, mission-driven data projects. I'm currently building the climate analytics teams at Watershed, where we're using granular carbon emissions data to help companies set their course to net zero. I've previously held leadership roles at startups, non-profits, government, and big tech. I’ve led teams from 2 to 200 on issues from lifesaving medicines, broadband infrastructure buildout, foundational geospatial data, to digital education. For the next stage of my journey I'm 100% focused on climate change. This is the critical decade.
