Interdisciplinary Scholars Research Project in Psychology and Political ScienceProject Title: Schoolchildren in the Age of TrumpExplored the effects of the 2016 Presidential Election on schoolchildren of various ages in a public school system on student modeling and imitation of deplorable behaviors as portrayed by the 2016 presidential candidates.Gained Human Subjects Review Committee approval and approval to collect data from the Niskayuna Central School District (CSD).Administered surveys to Niskayuna CSD teachers, and wrote scholars paper presenting findings. In my sophomore year at Union, I worked under in the Office of Residential Life as a Resident Advisor (RA) for First-Year students. Each trimester, I held three educational and enriching programs for residents focusing on the themes of achievement, citizenship, engagement, and wellness. As one of my utmost goals, I facilitated and built a tight-knit community by establishing personally meaningful relationships with over 50 residents. Collaborated with co-RA's on building-wide programs and designed multiple bulletin boards and door decorations for residents. Actively participated in committees on Wellness, Leadership and Identity/Diversity.

Internship at the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Unit:Exposure to pediatric cognitive, speech and language, and developmental testing and assessments.Wrote clinical summaries of Albany Medical Center parent intake forms for primary care providers.Provided recommendations for pediatric medication management, therapy services, and cognitive and developmental assessment.Organized a list of Capital Region pediatric service providers of therapy services and medication management to provide families with referrals to outpatient resources.
