Mr. Michael M. Stanciu founded Search Corporation Ltd., an engineering company that has become a reliable support for Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads in the elaboration of the National Roads Rehabilitation Programs and of the Motorways Program. As President of the Company, Mr. Stanciu is responsible for managing the activities of Search Corporation. These activities include pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, detailed designs, working drawings, supervision of the construction works for national roads, bridges, expressways and motorways as well as similar activities in the field of airports and architecture for civil constructions. Michael M. Stanciu has actively participated in the supervision of construction works, by coordinating projects performed in collaboration with international companies as well as projects financed by international institutions (e.g. World Bank, EBRD, EIB and EU-PHARE Program). Responsible for the company’s operations and activities projects, including the checking and elaboration of detailed designs for highways and bridges. Responsible for the development of the Romanian Company SEARCH CORPORATION Ltd.

Responsible for the coordination of design and complete construction plan elaboration for bridge related projects. Particular assignments include:• Elaboration of detailed designs and of the working drawings for 12 overpasses and 14 underpasses on Interstate Highway 35 in Oklahoma. These bridge projects were the part of a major project that extended over 10 years period and mounted to over US$ 200 million. • The elaboration of the detailed design and the working drawings for a 433 m long bridge over the Neosho River in Oklahoma, as well as technical specifications and special provisions. Construction cost was US$ 5 million. • The elaboration of the detailed design and working drawings for four bridges (with a 200 m wide span, 65 m pre-stressed concrete, 153 m and 198 m post-tensioned concrete box girders) on the Gilcrease expressway in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Construction cost was US$ 25 million.

Participated in the design of a curved bridge in West Virginia, as well as in the elaboration of bridge related projects. He also participated in the preliminary design of a viaduct connecting two major highways in Fortsmouth, Virginia. Construction cost was $180 million.

Responsible for coordinating in-house projects, as well as checking projects elaborated by outside consultants for major projects in Oklahoma. Responsible for the development of a new design standard for the 44 ft. roadway.

Responsible for the coordination of construction operations, as well as office administration for highway and bridge construction, in the States of Oklahoma and Kansas. Major projects included the capital rehabilitation of 27 miles of four-lane highways in Kansas City. As Construction Engineer, his responsibilities included the coordination of a team of 5 engineers in order to handle all technical problems including quality measurements, work programs, material quality, etc. The construction cost was US$ 57 million.
